The Best Western hotel Aux Ducs de Bourgogne ***, has always been mindful of the well-fare of its customers, and of the environment. Today, all its team is proud to display the symbol of the Eco-label on its walls, from April 2010.
The “Ducs the Bourgogne” is the first of the 18 hotels of INN Paris Group to obtain the label.
What is that the Eco-label?
Created in 1992, the European Eco-label is the only European eco-label official usable in all EU memr countries. It is awarded in France by the AFNOR an independent certifying body, on the base of a voluntary certification process of products and services.
The Community eco-label is based on the principle of a “comprehensive approach” which takes into account the entire lifecycle of the product, from the extraction of raw materials, manufacturing, distribution, and use up to its recycling or disposal after use”. The quality and use are also taken into account.
What is it?
It distinguishes products or services that are particularly friendly to the environnement. Its criteria ensure suitability for the use of products and a reduction of their environmental impacts during their life cycle. It concerns both the product and its packaging in case of a certification of products.
